NEW HOMESCHOOLERS

So, you're thinking of homeschooling! Well, first of all, congratulations! Whatever your reasons (and there are a lot of them) you obviously care so much about your children that you're willing to give of yourself to put their education and character training smack dab in your own hands! You're not alone! There are a lot of us out here and you're about to enter into a wonderful, caring community!

OK - something's got you interested in homeschooling…..where do you start? My first recommendation is to read, read, read everything you can get your hands on about homeschooling. My personal favorite book for newcomers is Mary Pride's Complete Guide to Getting Started in Homeschooling. It's a great guide which answers just about every question you might have about homeschooling. It's available at most online booksellers. And of course, don't forget your free source of lots of homeschooling books - your local library!
